JC On The Spot

Here is an opportunity to ask Jeff any questions you might have, and find out a little more about him!

What is your most memorable on-court moment?
Australian Open 2003 against Jared Palmer and Don Johnson (6-7(3) 6-2 7-6(2) QF win).

Do you have any superstitions, before or during matches?
Not really, but I just like to use same racket if I am winning with it.

How did you start playing tennis, and how old were you?
I was nine years old, and I started playing in Okiep [Jeff's home town], made my net out of orange bags and made a wooden racket myself also.

Describe yourself in one sentence.
Very down to Earth, kind of shy at times, and love seeing people do well.

What is most important to you in your life?
God and Family, friends and health.

What do you consider your biggest personal and/or professional achievement so far?
Just to be able to compete again at this level after my accident and to be a better person, appreciating life a little more.

What has been your most embarrassing on-court moment?
2003 Adelaide final - got hit in the nuts, and was out for 10 minutes. I got a second wind and ended up winning the tournament, having been a set down.
